VCML-GTM
VCML-GTM is MachineWare's virtual twin of the Bosch GTM (Generic Timer Module), allowing you to develop, test and debug software without physical hardware.
Built on top of MachineWare's open-source library VCML and the Accellera SystemC TLM-2.0 standard (IEEE 1666), VCML-GTM can be integrated into your virtual platform with zero friction.
VCML-GTM ships with two backends: MachineWare's GTM Fast Model, designed for efficient software development, and the Bosch GTM Reference Model, for golden-reference verification.
Modern Embedded Software Development
Embedded software development relies on a tight implement/observe feedback circle.
Physical hardware does not scale, is cumbersome to integrate into CI/CD workflows, and can hardly be accessed by AI agents.
Virtual hardware enables scaling software development with shorter iteration cycles.
Debugging & Tooling
VCML-GTM integrates with many third-party tools, such as Lauterbach's TRACE32, and TASKING toolchains.
Moreover, MachineWare's VCML session protocol, probes and MCP offer unmatched levels of introspection and control, both for developers and AI agents.
Lauterbach TRACE32
Debug software on the VCML-GTM with Lauterbach's TRACE32.
TASKING Compiler Support
Build with the toolchain production software already uses.
VCML Session Protocol
Script-based simulation control for CI/CD and test benches.
VCML Probes
VCML-GTM can trace any signal with no extra instrumentation. Live or post-simulation.
VCML-MCP
Enables AI agents to control and inspect the simulation.
VCML Probe Signal Trace
VCML probes inspect the simulation while it runs.
